Our Mission
Situated in the heart of the 5th largest school district in the nation and in one of the most diverse and dynamic urban environments, UNLV's Educational Policy and Leadership Program aims to help educational leaders LEARN 21st century leadership skills to LEAD the transformation of Nevada schools and LIFT the communities and students these schools serve.
Our programs offer customized learning experiences in the latest leadership practices for educators at all stages of their career: from prospective administrators to mid- and late- career district and school leaders. These programs include:
- Evening and weekend scheduling to accommodate the working professional.
- Cohort-based learning to provide a system of support.
- Standard-based learning geared towards the Nevada Educator Performance Framework and the National Educational Leadership Preparation Standards.
- Integrated field experiences and internships to provide hands-on learning experiences.
- A network of experienced school leaders to provide mentorship and coaching.
